Where Your OCs Go to Pick People Up
Jul. 9th, 2012 06:34 pmWelcome to Pimp My Verse. This will be the home of what I hope to be a bi-monthly meme where people can promote the universes their original characters come from and enable others into joining them in playing from there.
The meme itself will be set up by genre-based categories (and a few "type-based," such as a "OC-Only Games" category) with a fill-in outline for additional information and whatever specifics you want.
Currently, the universes allowed will be any original universe that you, a friend, etc, have made and any game setting that promotes or is based on creating your own character to play in it, such as MMOs and table-top RPGs (think Dungeons & Dragons). For a game setting to fit this meme, the characters should be able to be at least 75% customized by the player, particularly in the personality area and backstory areas.
This is still up for debate, so if you have any other non-original canons/settings that you believe should be accepted, explain what they are here and why they should be allowed. There is still time to consider alternatives. Ask any questions you have here and I will try to answer them as best I can. I would also love to know which genres/categories players would like to see the most.
